09 Sep Woensdrechtse Farmersday
On the weekend of Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September, the 13th edition of the Woensdrecht Farmers Day took place at Reimerswaalweg in Woensdrecht.
On Saturday, September 7, more than 80 tractors started at 1 pm on Reimerswaalweg to make a trip through the Municipality of Woensdrecht. This 4-hour trip had a stopover on the Ouwe Raedhuysplein in Hoogerheide.
On Sunday 8 September, 3,000 – 3,500 visitors visited the Farmers’ Day. Everything that has to do with farming life was on display. On the pasture, numerous activities were again on the program and also the stands with artisan products were richly represented. With art of beeswax, old crafts and of course good food such as eel and a pig on a spit.
This year’s theme was “Experience the great outdoors, on the Farmers Day”. For the children there was plenty to experience, a ride on an ‘ieniemienie’ pony, floating geese, keeping sheep, climbing on a straw pyramid, scrambling over the obstacle course or going around farming. In addition, the old, but also new, machines and tractors stood to be admired.
ICAReS was at the event with their mobile ground station on Sunday and has flown Rudy Muller of RPAS-Remotely Piloted Aircraft System 2x over the corn maze.
